  • Transportation: Pune to Kochi and Kanyakumari to Mumbai/Pune via 3AC Sleeper Train. Surface transfer via AC Tempo Traveler / Cab
  • Accommodations: Hotel Accommodations on a triple-sharing basis as per the Itinerary.

Itinerary
Day 00: Mumbai to Kochi 

 

  • Mumbai: Travelers from Mumbai will board the train/cab at 5:00 PM heading to Pune (in either 2S or Sleeper class, depending on availability). From Pune, they will take the Kanyakumari Express to Kochi (Ernakulam).
  • Pune: Travelers from Pune are expected to report at Pune station by 11:00 PM to board the train towards Aluva.

Day 01: Train Journey | Pickup from Bangalore

 

  • Mumbai and Pune participants can enjoy the scenic journey together, making the most of the time to bond with the team.
  • Bangalore participants will board the Kanyakumari Express at 5:00 PM from SBC station, heading towards Aluva.

Day 02: Kochi - Athirapally - Munnar

 

  • Kochi airport pickups will begin around 3:00 AM.
  • Get ready to explore "God's Own Country" as we hit the road for an exciting adventure.
  • It's time to meet your fellow travelers and Trip Captain. We'll head to our breakfast point to freshen up (please note that bathing facilities are not available here but will be provided during our stay in the evening).
  • We'll kick off the journey by visiting Kerala's highest waterfall and a famous film location, Athirappilly Falls, which cascades from a height of 80 meters.
  • After snapping some pictures for your Instagram, we will continue towards Munnar.
  • We will arrive in Munnar by night and check into our stay.

Day 03: Kolukkumalai Peak Munnar Excursion

 

  • Wake-up call at 4 AM if you're heading to Kolukkumalai Peak for a stunning sunrise. (Note: Jeep ride and waterfalls entry at Kolukkumalai are at personal cost).
  • Afterward, explore Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake, where you can enjoy a serene boating experience.
  • Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the rich history of tea production in Munnar.
  • Head to Echo Point and Top Station for panoramic views of the lush valley below.
  • Return to the hotel for some rest and relaxation after an exciting day of sightseeing.

Day 04: Munnar - Thekkady

 

  • Wake up early in the morning.
  • After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (4-5 hours drive covering 150 km).
  • Visit Periyar National Park, this tourist town is known for its candid and untouched beauty. Here you can experience the Boating and spot various wildlife.
  • Later head towards our Hotel, check in into a hotel/resort and after relaxing for a while, you will be taken for a rustic tribal tour to a nearby village followed by a Spice plantation tour.
  • After returning from the ride, Enjoy the evening hours to watch Kathakali (A traditional dance form of Kerala) and Kalaripayattu (A traditional martial art of Kerala).

Day 05: Alleppey Backwater Cruising

 

  • After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (4-5 hours drive covering 150 km).

Things To Pack

Mandatory Documents

  • Backpack (40-60 liters) 

Footwear

  • Trekking shoes: No sports shoes. The shoes need to have soles with a good grip and ankle support.
  • Socks (3 pairs): 2 pairs of cotton (for trekking) + 1 woolen pair (used only for sleeping)Sandals/Slippers for walking around

Clothes

  • Trek pants (2), including the one you are wearing.
  • Collared t-shirts (,3 including the one you are wearing)
  • Preferably light, full-sleeved t-shirts.
  • Thick jacket: Carry 1 hollow full-sleeve windproof jacket/down jacket.
  • Thermal inners: 1 pair of lightweight, upper and lower (optional)

Accessories

  • Raincoat/poncho (Mandatory as it can rain anytime in the mountains)
  • Woolen cap/ Balaclava: (Must protect ears)
  • Hand gloves: (Ensure that the gloves are warm and waterproof.)
  • Sunglasses: Any dark color but blue. Sunglasses prevent snow blindness. Sunglasses are mandatory for this trek.

  • Headlamp/LED torch(Mandatory)
  • Camera: Carry all accessories - spare batteries, charger, etc.
  • Water bottles: 2 bottles, 1 Litre each.
  • Trekking pole: Trekking pole is mandatory. You can also rent a wooden stick from Gaurikund.
  • Plastic covers: While packing, use plastic bags to compartmentalize things and carry a few extra plastic bags for wet clothes.

Personal Medical Kit

  • Mandatory. All these things need to go into one backpack. So make sure they are all light and you carry as little as possible.
